Still alive…

It has been a few weeks since my last update.

I have “upgraded” my desktop to Vista x64. The whole experience was less painful than expected except that now I’m missing drivers for all these exotic devices I’m using. I will try virtualization and report back.

I tried to switch to Ubuntu 8.04 for my laptop. Well..

  • Firefox 3 beta prevents me from login into Paypal.
  • I can’t adjust the sound volume.
  • Installing the ATI drivers messes completly the X font rendering.
  • The fan never stops.

It’s not perfect. Linux is still meant for Desktop use, or at least for these mainstream distributions.

Aside from that, I’m still working to add content to the wiki, I’m finally selling the N800 on eBay and I’m enjoying the pleasures of transfering and tweaking my web hosting. More updates soon.
