Ok, big day today. I will not speculate on this new laptop I will have to buy, but my main problem is I’m comming back home at the exact time of the event. I have to try to have to try to follow that. Last time, Internet almost collapsed under the pressure, so I will try to get as many sources as possible.
First, Dvorak is somewhat right because they have bigger problems than internet access right now and each computer is worth about one ton of rice.
Nowadays, the XO have less than a tenth of the processing power of a "normal" laptop and it is not stupid to think that they are at least 3 times slower than an eee pc. So a/two year(s) ago when that "thing" was shown to the public, everyone I knew laughed except me, because if "Linux", "laptop" and "$100" are describing a product, I’d want it. Even if it is green, and even if I don’t know how I could use it.
Good news is now I know why.
